Beyond the Intellect....

 

From today evening, I am going for a weekend retreat. But before I go, I (like yesterday) have a hot topic – may be a debatable one for some.

 

Well, with the constant mails and msgs I’ve been sending , I presume all know that the first ever YES+ foundation course of Delhi is going to happen with BAWA 11-13 December , SRCC grounds , 3.30 pm – 7.30 pm.( For the non AOL ppl , do not ignore pls , do read till the end)

For the past few days I’ve been trying to build awareness and convince (a sophisticated term for coercing) about this YES+ to all my friends. My reason for doing is simple enough – its BAWA!!! His presence guarantees fun and excitement and his spectacular teaching style and persona is going to make this YES+ memorable and one of its kind!! ( Esply the Q&A session)

 

Now, the interesting (rather ridiculous) part of the story..the reasons I’ve came across till now for not being able to do the course are simply hilarious ( though the other party assumes they are genuine).I do understand that at times the reasons are valid but in most of the cases a BIG NO.

  

I would want to share some in brief (with my views, some unsaid – feels so good to say them now)

Reason 1: Why should I do a YES+?? I’m Happy!!
Well, I never said that because you are sad so u must do this course!!! That’s your interpretation :)..so you really have a high intellect, a good reason enough to do YES+..:) The only thing I’m saying is Yes, I agree you are happy but with Yes+ course you tend to learn the art of maintaining that state of happiness despite all odds and more importantly , how to spread that happiness around..:)Are you sure you are doing that currently ?? Think again!!

Reason 2: Why do they charge money? Isn’t it an NGO??
There are no free lunches in life honey. Firstly, the money collected is used for charitable purposes only –

• AOL has adopted over 3500 villages in India & looks after them.Where will the money come frm??
•  The teachers in AOL are paid salaries – where will the money come from???
• Bangalore Ashram & Ashrams built across India need funding – whre will the money come frm???
• Running any course – booking hall, materials etc entail cost – where will the money come from???

 The money you (rather we) give is used for good purposes only and take it as an investment – the returns you get are far more!!! Experience it!!

Reason 3: Yaar, venue change nahi ho sakta kya ? Timings kitne odd hai!!
Well, then I think there should be a customized YES+ exclusively for you for the simple reason that out of all the participants , hardly 20% are happy with the venue and timings.:)

But as far I understand, the only reason why the rest 80% of the participants land up doing it is because they WANT to it, come what may!! And believe it or not, it’s all a play of faith – the more determination you have, things will fall in place.

“ Agar kisi cheez ko dil se chaho toh puri kaynat use tumse milane mein jut jaati hai” It really works !!:)

 

Look at the positives – a course with BAWA (wow!!) is happening in Delhi, that too at a place which is very much accessible by Metro / Bus (with cars obviously)..Its only fours hours a day…What else do you need??

If you are happy despite all the problems ( rather learning opportunities) in your life,
if you are contributing to the society in any which way,
 if you are good at managing your time,
 if you are good at multi tasking ,
 if you are bringing smile on others’ face,
if you are REALLY living your life,
then you don’t need to do a YES+ but if you are not , you very well know the answer…..
