Sri Sri's Valentine Message 2015

Let nature be your valentine. This is the message for Valentine’s Day. 

I have said before that let Divine be your Valentine but today am saying let nature be your valentine. So let’s preserve the nature, water, earth, seeds, plants, air, and energy. This is our responsibility.

It’s so difficult to express ones feelings. It is in fact inexpressible. At the same time you can’t hide them at all. On one level it never hides, feelings gets expressed. On same note I would say that you totally cannot express your feelings. Mankind has been making all sorts of efforts from time and memorial making the heart shape, getting rose flowers to express the feelings. All our gesture actions are only to express our feelings yet it remains unexpressed and that’s the beauty of it. That’s how love continues. Love becomes eternal. If you have totally expressed it then it’s finished, nothing remains. But it doesn’t happen like that. You express but still something remains unexpressed. You still feel, it’s not enough. You know, only when you breakup you say enough is enough. When the pond of love dries down then you say enough is enough! No more!

But in love you don’t feel enough. There is no completion. You cannot completely express your feelings. One who is in love would say this ‘I could not express my feelings’. If there is an effort to express oneself that continues. And on valentine’s day is one such occasion when people try to express their love. And you don’t need to ask people would you be my valentine. You should take it for granted that they are your valentine and they love you. Never we should doubt the love of someone for us. We should always take it for granted that everyone loves us. That’s it! Sometime they may not be expressible. Some people have reserve to express may be in the next life time! Some are expressing now. Some might express after 10 or 20 years. Some who is rude and rough will behave not so nice with us do have love for us, but they have only reserved it for us in the future lifetimes. Then you see in life, that from your side you will feel secure, complete, accepted and you feel the oneness, oneness with this whole Universe. So this Valentine’s Day you can change your valentine. This Valentine Day you can say, Nature is my Valentine. 

You become the flower yourself. You don’t have to buy a rose. You imagine yourself as a rose. You yourself are the king or queen of flowers. You have the beauty and fragrance. See, there are many flowers which have fantastic fragrance but it’s not so beautiful to look at or it doesn't have the texture or the beauty. And there are some flowers which are beautiful to look at but there is no fragrance. Rose has both and that is why it is called the king or queen of flowers because it has fragrance and beauty. This is what is expected of any Valentine, any beloved. If they just appear beautiful, not enough! They should exuberate the fragrance. Some may have fragrance but they are not expressing it in their life. If their mind or actions are not what you perceive as expression of true love then they miss to communicate that. So communication is a very important aspect and Valentine Day is also a day to communicate that to your loved person.
