Summer Magic Post II

The Fest aka feast and the Advance course

Its been looonng overdue..yes, I accept I’ve been lazy in closing this..today there’s no one at home, the serenity thus arrived has motivated me to make this post see the light of the day..

22nd -25th June was the 4 day Youth fest where we had dignitaries (that’s what I would like to call them) coming in from various fields and bringing awareness in youth on the various socio political issues plaguing our country. The energy/thought process/awareness or whatever you may like to call it in the interactions and the discussions was worth noticing. Through the various presentations and speeches , I also realized the progress Art of Living has made till date and the kind of advancement it is making in various fields such as setting up of Sri Sri University, Sri Sri Agro business, Microfinance is no doubt appreciable – the intentions are pure and the efforts very promising.

There was also an upgrade event, which was sort of a treasure hunt (locating counties and doing the tasks listed in that country) and involved exploring the Ashram – the tasks involved were witty, mind boggling and exciting! For Instance: At Egypt, we had to dress up 2 team members with limited Newspapers made available and create mummies! It was damn cool!

The zeal and fervor of the 2000+ youth couldn’t go unnoticed by any chance! The energy level was high, masti at its peak and wherever you would go, you would land up being in a queue - be it kitchen, canteen, sewa or for that matter loo!! Wooh!

The diversity in the crowd was quite amusing and entertaining..gujjus, marathis, delhities, Punjabis..all adding a spice to the Summer Magic meal. ( A secret – We Delhities simply rocked at the canteen, perpetually running into people from other states, realizing we belong to each other and ending up eating at their expense! It used to be hilarious!)

The play and the dance show were magnificent! One could gauge the efforts put by a BIG team in putting up that kind of a show! Truly Amazing!

The weather was superb with slight to heavy pouring during the evenings. The funny part was that it used to rain when we least anticipated and weren’t carrying the umbrellas, giving us the opportunity to drench in bliss

The magic was getting apparent during the fest and soon after, we started the journey on our advance course – we had 2 day long silence. After being used to heavy noises, chattering, hooting and chaos for almost a week, the utter silence was serene and blissful.

It was my third advance course – second in the Ashram and the grace I felt this time is inexplicable. Every advance course has not just reaffirmed but also strengthened my faith in the divine – in Guruji and made me realize – I am taken care of :)

A YES+ advance course in the Ashram is unmatched with any other advance course, by all standards. So I3 really wish that those who couldn’t go for summer Magic this time get this opportunity soon.

All in all, had a lot of interesting guru stories..made friends..explored a new side of ME..and was happy that I chose Summer Magic over everything else!

Jai Guru Dev!
Guruji Rocks :)
